Joseph Flannery has led a stressful life, escaping death and fighting crime on a daily basis back in New York on the FDNY and NY Transit Police. Joe moves to Colorado after a hurricane, and realizes that he has PTSD and there is nothing he can do to stop it. After his dog dies and Mindy, his wife gets into a car accident, his PTSD seems to have no end! Joe spots Dolly online, and drives five hours to get her from the Diamond J Ranch, before she is euthanized. Joe brings Dolly home, and after she saves the neighbors from a fire, Joe realizes that Dolly is a true hero!
